The French air force shows it's air power in an airshow over paris. The French Air Force (French: Armée de l'air [aʀme də lɛʀ], "army of the air") is the air force of the French Armed Forces. It was formed in 1909 as the Service Aéronautique, a service arm of the French Army, then was made an independent military arm in 1934. The number of aircraft in service with the French Air Force varies depending on source, however sources from the French Ministry of Defence give a figure of 658 aircraft in 2014.[5][6] The French Air Force has 219 combat aircraft in service, with the majority being 124 Dassault Mirage 2000 and 95 Dassault Rafale. As of early 2014, the French Air Force employs a total of 45,489 regular personnel. The reserve element of the air force consisted of 4,356 personnel of the Operational Reserve.[1] The Minister of Defence is responsible for execution of military policy. He is advised by the Chief of Staff of the Armies (CEMA) in regard to the use of forces and the control of military operations. The Chief of Staff of the French Air Force (CEMAA) determines the air force doctrines and advises the CEMA how to deploy French air assets. He is responsible for the preparation and logistic support of the air force. History Main articles: History of the Armée de l'Air (1909–1942), Free French Air Force, Vichy French Air Force and History of the Armée de l'Air (colonial presence 1939–1962) The French took active interest in developing the air force from 1909 and had the first World War I fighter pilots. During the interwar years, however, particularly in the 1930s, the quality fell after they compared with the Luftwaffe, which crushed the French during the Battle of France. In the post–World War II era, the French made a successful effort to develop a domestic aircraft industry. Dassault Aviation led the way mainly with delta-wing designs, which formed the basis for the Mirage series of jet fighters. The Mirage demonstrated its abilities in the Six-Day War, Yom Kippur War, the Falklands War and the Gulf War, becoming one of the most popular jet fighters of its day, with a high quantity of sales. The French Air Force participated in several protracted colonial wars in Africa and Indochina after the Second World War, and continues to employ its air power in Africa. From January 1964, the French political leadership, now prioritising nuclear deterrence, put in train a complete reorganisation of the Air Force, with the creation of four air régions and seven major specialised commands, among which was the Strategic Air Forces Command (Commandement des forces aérienne stratégiques) (CoFAS).[7] The Military Air Transport Command had previously been formed in February 1962 from the Groupement d'Unités Aériennes Spécialisées. The Dassault Mirage IV, the principal French strategic bomber, was designed to strike Soviet positions as part of the French nuclear triad. Also created in 1964 was the Escadron des Fusiliers Commandos de l'Air (EFCA), seemingly grouping all FCA units. In 1985, the Air Force had four major flying commands, the Strategic Air Forces Command, the Tactical Air Forces Command, the Military Air Transport Command, and the Commandement Air des Forces de Défense Aérienne (Air Command of Air Defence Forces).[8] CFAS had two squadrons of S-3 IRBMs at the Plateau d'Albion, six squadrons of Mirage IVAs (at Mont de Marsan, Cazaux, Orange, Istres, St Dizier, and EB 3/94 at Luxeuil), and three squadrons of KC-135Fs, as well as a training/reconnaissance unit, CIFAS 328, at Bordeaux. The tactical air command included wings EC 3, EC 4, EC 7, EC 11, EC 13, and ER 33, with a total of 19 squadrons of Mirage III, Jaguars, two squadrons flying the Mirage 5F (EC 2/13 and EC 3/13, both at Colmar), and a squadron flying the Mirage F.1CR. CoTAM counted 28 squadrons, of which ten were fixed-wing transport squadrons, and the remainder helicopter and liaison squadrons, at least five of which were overseas. CAFDA numbered 14 squadrons mostly flying the Mirage F.1C. Two other commands had flying units, the Air Force Schools Command (CEAA), and the Air Force Transmissions Command, with four squadrons and three trials units. In 1994 the Commandement des Fusiliers Commandos de l'Air was established. Currently, the French Air Force is expanding and replacing aircraft inventory. The French are awaiting the A400M military transport aircraft, which is still in developmental stages, and the integration of the new Dassault Rafale multi-role jet fighter, whose first squadron of 20 aircraft became operational in 2006 at Saint-Dizier. After an absence lasting several decades, the French President Nicolas Sarkozy confirmed that France will rejoin the NATO integrated command.[9] France has also been a lead nation, alongside the United States, Great Britain and Italy in implementing the UN sponsored no-fly zone in Libya (NATO 'Odyessy Dawn'),

The jets were accompanied by an A400 airbus and two additional Alpha jets who will be documenting the mission. Officials say the event was staged to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the United States entry into World War I and reaffirm the historic ties between France and the U.S. The flyover was the French group's first appearance in North America in more than 30 years. India In Talks With France For 31 Jaguar Deep Strike Fighter Jets. India has begun discreet negotiations with France for the purchase of 31 grounded strike fighters previously used by the French Air Force. The French government made the offer of sale for the Jaguar fighters about six months ago, and India is actively pursuing the opportunity, according to a top Indian Ministry of Defence official. The offer will be actively discussed during an official visit to France July 17-20 of India's Air Force chief, Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa, the MoD official noted. The government official refused to comment on the price offered by France for the Jaguar fighters, but did say India is actively considering acquiring them after proper refurbishment. During his visit, Dhanoa will inspect the license production of Rafale aircraft for India at Dassault Aviation manufacturing facilities and will fly a sortie in a Rafale aircraft. The two countries signed a €7.8 billion (U.S. $8.9 billion) intergovernmental agreement on Sept. 23, 2016, under which 36 Rafale fighter aircraft in fly-away condition will be procured from Dassault Aviation for the Indian Air Force. Per the contract, France will invest 30 percent of the €7.8 billion in India's military aeronautics-related research programs and 20 percent into the local production of Rafale components to fulfill the mandatory offsets under the deal. India will receive the first six Rafale aircrafts in September 2019, and delivery of all 36 fighters will be completed by the end of 2022. Dassault Aviation will also make specific changes for India and mount new-generation Meteor and Scalp m!ssiles. Negotiations for the Rafale deal began immediately after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in April 2015 in Paris his wish to buy the fighters for the Indian Air Force in fly-away condition. Of the €7.8 billion, the platform costs approximately €3.42 billion; another €1.8 billion is for infrastructure and support supplies; €1.7 billion will be spent to meet India-specific changes to the aircraft; €710 million is for the additional weapons package; and €353 million is the cost of performance-based logistics support. india japan, india vs china, china vs us, japan china, china vs india, china vs usa, japan vs china, india vs china economy, usa vs china, us vs china, china and japan, japan india, india us relations, india and china, china vs india economy, china india, japan and china, science and technology in india, china and india, america vs china, us india relations ====================================================================================================== DISCLAIMER: Each and every content used in this video is not imaginary. India and France are currently holding key negotiations on the sale of 30 retired Jaguar Strike Fighter Jets from the French Air Force reserve. France has already decommissioned the SEPECAT Jaguars from its Air Force. The negotiations underway are to buy 30 of these formidable fighter jets in as it is condition condition from France and the Indian Air Force plans to use the 30 Jaguar Jets for spares to maintain its current Jaguar fleet. France has made it clear that making the 30 retired Jaguar Fighter Jets capable of flying is out of question. India can only use the 30-odd jets for its spare parts like air frames, tail section, landing gear, etc. The IAF has undertaken a major task of upgrading its current fleet of Jaguar Strike Jets to 'DARIN III' standard. The program involves upgrading the jets with modern avionics, AESA Radar, Digital Cockpit and Advance Weaponry thus making them more advance than the F-16s used by Pakistan. The IAF plans to use its fleet of upgraded twin-engine 60 Jaguar Jets for another approximately twenty years. Disclaimer- The fact and story in this video is taken from various news agencies . This video shows you that France Will Continue To Beef Up Indian Military Arsenal With Fighter Jets And Submarines. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Under new President Emmanuel Macron, France will continue to beef up the Indian military arsenal with fighter jets and submarines. French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation and state-owned shipbuilder DCNS are in fact negotiating new deals with the Indian government for the sale of their Rafale multi-role aircraft and diesel-electric attack Scorpene-class submarine respectively. Last Sunday, coinciding with Macron’s inauguration, Dassault Aviation chief executive Eric Trappier revealed to French daily Sud-Ouest that its company was talking to India about the sale of a further 57 Rafales. Last September, Dassault Aviation secured an US$8.8 billion contract to supply the Indian Air Force with 36 Rafale jets. It is said that, once inducted, they will form two squadrons. One will be stationed in the state of Haryana, near the Pakistani border, and the other in West Bengal to face possible threats posed by China on the eastern front. The new batch of 57 Rafale aircraft is intended for the Indian Navy, which must still develop the aviation complex for its domestically built aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. The Indian government says the new flattop will be delivered in December 2018, but a national auditor reported last year that it might not be combat-ready before 2023. New Delhi has weighed other options for a new fighter platform for its aircraft-carrier force, including Sweden’s Saab Gripen, the Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet and Russia’s MiG-29K. India’s air force needs new planes to replace its aging fleet of 670 fighter jets, made up in large part of Russian-built Su-30MKI, MiG-21 and MiG-27 planes. In response, US defense giant Lockheed Martin is ready to transfer the production line of its F-16 combat aircraft to India, as Saab points to setting up a production platform in the South Asian country for its Gripen-E. India is still mulling whether to finalize a deal with Russia to co-develop a fifth-generation fighter aircraft based on the stealthy Sukhoi PAK FA – which is completing development and testing – and upgrade its existing Su-30MKI fighters, according to recent Indian media reports. New Scorpene subs In addition to carrier-capable Rafales, New Delhi plans to strengthen its naval capabilities with the acquisition of three more Scorpene submarines. The Indian Navy is expected to commission two French-designed Scorpenes – the Kalvari and the Khanderi – by the end of the year. They have been constructed by Mumbai-based Mazagon Dock Ltd in cooperation with DCNS as part of a $3.5 billion deal signed in 2005 to build jointly six Scorpene-class submarines. defence news, essay on make in india, india fighter jets, indian air force, indian air force planes, indian fighter, indian fighter jet, indian fighter planes, indian navy submarines, indian submarines, ins arihant, make in india, make in india campaign, make in india essay, make in india in hindi, make in india policy, make in india project, make in india website, make in india week, making india, mig 29k, teja, tejas, tejas aircraft Source: https://goo.gl/J3PVgT ====================================================================================================== DISCLAIMER: Each and every content used in this video is not imaginary. NEW YORKFollowing an anonymous threat made to commercial flights, an Air France plane was escorted by U.S. military fighter jets to New York on Monday, according to a Reuters report. U.S. authorities received an anonymous tip warning of a "chemical weapons threat" aboard Air France Flight 22, which was carrying 11 crew members and 165 passengers, ABC News reports. The U.S. Air Force scrambled two F-15 jets, which were sent to escort the Airbus A-330 into American airspace. The flight was traveling from Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport and landed safely at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City Monday morning. The flight was transported to a secure area and searched and cleared for explosives. Details regarding the exact nature of the incident remain scarce, but a New York Daily News report, citing sources, called the anonymous tip a "crank call" and laid blame on a single man who reportedly made multiple untraceable calls to the Maryland State Police barracks warning of threats to several different flights. “Out of an abundance of caution, Air France flight number 22 was escorted to John F. Kennedy airport by U.S. Air Force fighter jets following a phone threat,” said the FBI in a statement, according to the Daily News. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. This video shows you that India Clears First Payment for Rafale Fighter Jets to France. India has cleared the first payment of 15 per cent to seal the deal for 36 Rafale combat aircraft with the French Government. Sources told India Strategic that the instalment was cleared recently, and as per the contract, the French Government will deliver the first few aircraft within three years, that is sometime in 2019. India has though requested France to speed the delivery to the extent possible. Industry sources in Paris also said that aircraft manufacturer Dassault had started working with its partners well in advance towards the Indian requirement, particularly as the Indian Air Force had asked for some specific modifications. Dassault leads the consortium with Safran and Thales doing the engines and electronic systems and suites. In fact, the latter two have higher share each than Dasssault which designs, integrates and markets combat and civil aircraft. paf, indian air force, rafale deal, f16 vs rafale, pak air force, indian air force planes, indian air force news, indian fighter planes, pakistan air, indian air force fighter planes, rafale fighter, indian air force aircraft, the indian air force, iaf, fighter planes of india, rafale aircraft, fighter planes in india, indian fighter, fighter planes of indian air force, pakistan f 16 Channel Link: https://www.youtube.com/c/GlobalConflict7

French fighter jets to flyover Lower Hudson Valley NEW YORKFrench Air Force fighter jets have staged a colorful flyover across New York Harbor. The eight Alpha Jets from the Patrouille de France streaked across the sky Saturday, making designs with trailing red, white and blue display smoke. They plan several more shows at various sites in the coming weeks.
